The problem

A real need in a specific operating environment.

Operational wedges needed to be easy to issue, identify, track, and replace instead of existing as anonymous loose equipment.

The application

Designed around how the result would be used.

The identification had to remain legible in a field-ready format and support department, company, apparatus, or individual numbering.

The process

Define. Engineer. Validate. Produce.

The manufacturing method followed the requirements of the application, not the other way around.

  1. 01

Define the color, numbering, assignment, quantity, and replacement strategy.

  2. 02

Build a repeatable identification layout around the wedge geometry.

  3. 03

Produce the coordinated batch and verify every identifier.

  4. 04

Organize the order so departments can issue and replace pieces consistently.

The final product

Field equipment system.

The finished wedges function as an identified equipment system, making ownership and assignment clear without compromising their operational use.

  • Fast visual identification
  • Department-specific numbering
  • Repeatable replacements
