Founder and Principal Engineer

David Olney

DfAM, Reverse Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing

David is a career firefighter, volunteer fire captain, county hazmat team lieutenant, fire instructor, chemical engineer, materials engineer, product designer, and fabrication engineer.

After years spent in manufacturing and R&D—and on apparatus, emergency scenes, in fire stations, and in training environments—he repeatedly encountered technical problems that deserved better solutions. Bringing engineering discipline and field experience together became the foundation of Emergent 3D.

The company applies that approach across two focused markets: industrial product development and manufacturing, and purpose-built products and department solutions for first responders.
