Apparatus SCBA-mask hooks
Purpose-built hooks use the apparatus's existing overhead structure to keep SCBA masks secured and out of the occupied cab space.

The problem
A real need in a specific operating environment.
SCBA masks needed a consistent storage location that kept them secured, accessible, and out of the occupied seating and floor areas of the apparatus cab.
The application
Designed around how the result would be used.
The solution had to work with the existing overhead cab structure, avoid permanent modification, and hold equipment reliably during routine apparatus movement.
The process

The manufacturing method followed the requirements of the application, not the other way around.

Review the available overhead structure, mask geometry, clearance, and firefighter access.

Design the hook profile and attachment around the apparatus's existing features.
- 03
Prototype the hanging position and retention geometry with the actual equipment.
- 04
Produce and install the finished hooks, then verify access and storage in service.
The final product
Equipment storage.
The installed hooks create an intentional overhead home for the masks, improving organization without consuming occupied cab space or adding permanent mounting holes.
