Apparatus light-switch enclosure
An open dashboard location was converted into a secure, service-ready control panel through field measurement, CAD, printing, wiring, and installed validation.

The problem
A real need in a specific operating environment.
A group of apparatus lighting controls needed a finished enclosure in an open dashboard location. The solution had to protect the switches, organize the wiring, fit the available space, and remain practical to service.
The application
Designed around how the result would be used.
The enclosure was designed for a working fire apparatus where vibration, constrained access, clear switch identification, and future maintenance all matter.
The process
Define. Engineer. Validate. Produce.
The manufacturing method followed the requirements of the application, not the other way around.

Document the available dashboard opening, switch arrangement, wiring space, and nearby hardware.

Build the enclosure and faceplate in CAD around the real installation rather than a generic switch box.
- 03
Manufacture and assemble the enclosure, then route and connect the installed controls.

Validate switch access, panel fit, labeling, and serviceability in the apparatus.
The final product
Finished installation.
The completed panel closes the open dashboard location, secures the switching hardware, and presents the controls as an intentional apparatus installation rather than an added-on component.
